Note.    Indicative anchoring positions are for reference only and should not be used as waypoints.  The best position for anchoring depends on many factors including vessel draft, tide, and forecast wind.

Cape Elizabeth is a large headland at the southern end of Tiparra Bay, and south of the towns of Moonta and Port Hughes. The anchorage is in the sheltered south-eastern corner immediately north of this headland.

The bottom is deep sand, and the holding is good. Shore access is possible but, as with so much of this coastline, a wide tidal flat exists.
