Indicative Anchoring Position
32° 26.4’S 133° 39.9’E
Note. Indicative anchoring positions are for reference only and should not be used as waypoints. The best position for anchoring depends on many factors including vessel draft, tide, and forecast wind.
The Franklin Islands are an almost conjoined pair of islands with several nearby islets and rocks. A good anchorage exists on the northern side of the more easterly island. The bottom is patchy weed on sand and the holding is good.
Shore access to these islands is not permitted under the rules of the Nuyts Archipelago Conservation Park. (Click here for Park Details)
