Indicative Anchoring Position
35° 34.5’S 137° 38.1’E
Note. Indicative anchoring positions are for reference only and should not be used as waypoints. The best position for anchoring depends on many factors including vessel draft, tide, and forecast wind.
This anchorage provides good protection from westerly winds and swell, but can be made uncomfortable by a tidal stream flowing past the headland. The anchoring position is about ¾ mile south a small stony spit running off the beach.
