Marina Entrance

Note. The marina entrance coordinates are for reference only and should not be used as a waypoint.
Robe is a large regional town which is a major centre for the commercial fishing and cray industry, and therefore has excellent facilities and services for visiting yachts. The marina is within easy walking distance of the town, power and water are available at all berths, and toilets and showers are close by, so being stranded here while waiting for weather is no great hardship!
A plan of the marina is attached (click here) and visiting yachts are generally allocated to berths on the ‘Karatta Moorings’ on the northern side. A fuel berth with 24 hour credit card access is located on the eastern side.
On a cautionary note, the entrance channel to marina is subject to silting, and both the depth and position of shoaling may change, so entry may not be possible at certain tides. Current advice should always be sought from the local council before attempting entry. The council can be contacted on 08 8768 2003. A full description of the marina facilities is available on the council website (https://www.robe.sa.gov.au/services/lakebutlermarina).
