Indicative Anchoring Position

Note. Indicative anchoring positions are for reference only and should not be used as waypoints. The best position for anchoring depends on many factors including vessel draft, tide, and forecast wind.
Stenhouse Bay is a steep and rocky bay situated about 3 miles south west of Marion Bay. It has a substantial jetty, and the recommended anchorage is to the north east of this jetty, as close to the shore as the depth will allow.
The anchorage is very subject to swell, and is not popular for overnight stays.
